Sonya Mclean – CamperKing Ambassador
Based in Hampshire, Sonya Mclean and her husband Lee bought their CamperKing campervan in early 2020. They’ve since nicknamed this Beauty, and have found that it helps to bring their family together regularly, following struggles with their work-life balance.
The Mcleans were very grateful they bought their campervan just before the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions were brought in. This meant that they were able to visit the outdoors safely whilst respecting government restrictions.
The couple uses the campervan for both leisure and personal use. Lee uses it for his daily drive to his job with Hampshire Police. Whilst Sonya and Lee both utilise the campervan for family holidays, with these being local and further afield. They regularly visit local areas such as the New Forest with their springer spaniel, Rosie, and their twin boys, Archie and Logyn. As a family, they try to camp at least once a month and organise this alongside their hobbies which include paddleboarding and fishing.
Sonya’s most memorable trip so far has been visiting Scotland, where they travelled through the Highlands into Glencoe, using the drone to capture the beautiful mountains. They also enjoyed their trip to Brighton and the Brecon Beacons. Whilst they regularly enjoy day trips to the New Forest, which is local to them.
