Damon Largent – CamperKing Ambassador
Meet our latest Club CamperKing ambassador, Damon Largent, and his gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Griff!
After working in the leadership industry for the past 20 years, Damon and his wife have taken early retirement to enjoy their favourite hobbies, such as travelling, photography and of course, van life!
With a passion for exploring, Damon was inspired by a friend to invest in a CamperKing conversion and found his dream adventure vehicle at CamperKing Authorised Dealer, Moorlake, in Watford.
As a competitive amateur road cyclist, Damon takes part in events and challenges all over the UK and Europe and found his van to be the perfect support vehicle. Having spent more time in airports and hotels than at home in some years, the idea of a change of pace and travel in the van was perfect, providing the family with many adventures and memories since they bought it in early August 2021 and in his words “it’s been non-stop ever since”.
Passionate about the total freedom their CamperKing campervan brings them, the Largent’s plan to use their van to explore all parts of the UK and into Europe including the popular Scottish road trip, the North Coast 500. As music fans, they will be using the van for a few blues and smaller-scale independent music festivals, as well as using it as a support vehicle to help a homeless military veterans’ charity where Damon helps to co-organise fundraising events.
Having been away in their campervan for 50 days of the first eight months they had it, Damon described his favourite camping trip away as being pitched up on the shore of Ullswater at Waterside House campsite.
