Back in March 2022 when Volkswagen announced the arrival of the ID. Buzz, we discussed the possibility of a VW ID. Buzz camper – Volkswagen’s ID. Buzz – would it make a good campervan?, and we are pleased to say that a CamperKing ID. Buzz campervan is now in development.
With a design that evokes the iconic looks of VW’s T1 and T2 ‘splitty’ and ‘bay window’ campervans but equipped with cutting-edge technology, the ID. Buzz brings innovation to VW campervans.
An electric vehicle, the VW ID. Buzz boasts plenty of interior space, up to 258-mile range, and a maximum power output of 150 kW – the equivalent of 204 PS.
With fast charging equipped as standard, the VW ID. Buzz can handle charging power of up to 170 kW. This means that it would take around 30 minutes to charge the battery from 5% to 80% in this electric campervan. Whilst with Plug & Charge technology you only have to plug in the cable and the charging begins, storing your authentication data after the first use and automatically recognising who you are every time after that.
The VW ID. Buzz’s equivalent maximum output of 204 PS can accelerate the electric vehicle from 0 to 62mph in 10.2 seconds. Whilst the agile ability of the vehicle provides it with a small turning circle of just 11.1 metres, meaning that the vehicle can easily be steered around everywhere from narrow city streets to the tightest of campsite pitches.
VW ID. Buzz Cargo features
The VW ID. Buzz Cargo is the version of the ID. Buzz which we will be using as the base vehicle for a VW ID. Buzz campervan. This is currently available in two trim levels, the ID. Buzz Cargo Commerce and the ID. BUZZ Cargo Commerce Plus. Discover the highlight features of these vehicles below:
